“When we adopt any pet, we know it is going to end with us having to say goodbye, but we still do it. And we do it for a very good reason: They bring so much joy and optimism and happiness. They attack every moment of every day with that attitude.”
– Bruce Cameron

Chinese Praying Mantis (Tenodera Sinensis)

CHINESE PRAYING MANTIS NYMPH (TENODERA SINENSIS).

Great Educational Pet. Very tame and enjoyable to interact with.

The mantis diet right now is Hydei Fruit Flies. Please make sure you have available a food source for your mantis when it arrives. As the mantis grows, it will eat larger insects like house flies, moths, crickets, roach nymphs and even mealworms.

This species of mantis will survive in fair conditions. It’s best to keep it around 20-26 C (68-78.8 F). Room temperature will work best. Warmer temperature speeds up the metabolism of the mantis and will shorten its lifespan and in contrast, cooler temperature slows its metabolism and lengthens the life span, but both, in extreme, could kill it. Humidity should be around 60-65%. Just make sure it doesn’t get too dry or too damp… My Nymphs are raised in a home setting and handled as pets… Smart insects… Good for pest control… Educational…

Thank you for taking the time to look!
